Peer Review Process
The International Journal of Physics Research and Applications (IJPRA) follows a rigorous peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original research in physics and its applications. The journal is committed to maintaining scientific integrity, accuracy, and transparency in the evaluation of submitted manuscripts.
Peer Review Process
1. Initial Manuscript Screening
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial assessment by the editorial team to determine whether it meets the scope and quality standards of the journal. The editorial team evaluates:
- Relevance to the field of physics and its applications.
- Compliance with formatting and ethical guidelines.
- Scientific soundness and originality.
Manuscripts that do not meet these basic criteria may be rejected at this stage without external peer review.
2. Selection of Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to expert reviewers with relevant academic and research experience. The selection of reviewers is based on their expertise in the subject area, previous publications, and reviewing history.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
The IJPRA follows a double-blind review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain fairness and eliminate bias.
4. Reviewer Assessment
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following key criteria:
- Scientific Rigor: The research should be methodologically sound, well-supported by data, and follow appropriate experimental or theoretical frameworks.
- Originality and Novelty: The study should contribute new insights, ideas, or advancements in physics.
- Clarity and Structure: The manuscript should be well-organized and clearly written for effective communication.
- Reproducibility: Experimental and computational studies should include sufficient details to allow replication of results.
- Ethical Compliance: The research must adhere to ethical publishing standards, including proper citation and avoidance of plagiarism.
5. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept: The manuscript meets all scientific and ethical criteria for publication.
- Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor modifications before final acceptance.
- Major Revisions: The manuscript requires significant changes and may undergo a second round of review.
- Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s publication standards.
6. Revision and Resubmission
For manuscripts requiring revisions, authors must address all reviewer comments and submit a revised version along with a point-by-point response. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
7. Final Acceptance and Publication
Once a manuscript meets all necessary revisions and quality checks, it is accepted for publication. The final version undergoes editing, formatting, and proofreading before being published online and in print.
8. Post-Publication Review
The IJPRA encourages discussions and feedback even after publication. If significant concerns about the validity, accuracy, or ethics of a published article arise, appropriate corrections, clarifications, or retractions may be issued.
9. Ethical Compliance
The journal follows the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any cases of suspected ethical misconduct, such as plagiarism or data manipulation, will be thoroughly investigated.
The IJPRA is committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, and scientifically rigorous peer review process. For any inquiries regarding the review process, please contact the editorial office.
