Plagiarism Policy
Ensuring Originality and Research Integrity
The International Journal of Physics Research and Applications (IJPRA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality in scientific research. We strictly prohibit any form of plagiarism and uphold a zero-tolerance policy to ensure the credibility of published content.
Plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, includes direct copying, self-plagiarism, paraphrasing without proper citation, and unauthorized use of previously published material. IJPRA follows strict ethical guidelines to maintain the integrity of physics research and ensure the highest standards of scholarly publishing.
Plagiarism Detection and Screening
All manuscripts submitted to IJPRA undergo a rigorous plagiarism check using advanced tools such as iThenticate and Turnitin before being considered for peer review.
The following key checks are conducted:
- Comparing submitted content with previously published scientific literature.
- Assessing citation accuracy and reference integrity.
- Detecting cases of duplicate submissions across different journals.
- Identifying instances of self-plagiarism and redundant publication.
Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% (excluding references, equations, and standard physics terminology) may be returned for revision or rejected outright.
Unacceptable Forms of Plagiarism
The following types of plagiarism are considered unethical and strictly prohibited:
- Direct Plagiarism: Copying text from another source without proper citation.
- Self-Plagiarism: Republishing one's own work without citation or significant modification.
- Improper Paraphrasing: Rewording another author’s work without acknowledgment.
- Data Fabrication: Manipulating or falsifying research data to mislead readers.
Authors must ensure that their work is original, accurately cited, and free from unethical practices before submission.
Consequences of Plagiarism
Plagiarism-related violations in IJPRA may result in the following actions:
- Immediate Rejection: Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will not be considered for publication.
- Author Blacklisting: Repeat offenders may be restricted from future submissions.
- Retraction of Published Articles: If plagiarism is identified post-publication, the article will be retracted immediately.
- Institutional Notification: In severe cases, the author’s affiliated institution may be informed of the misconduct.
Any author found violating ethical guidelines may face permanent restrictions from publishing in IJPRA and related journals.
Author Responsibilities
To ensure the integrity of physics research publications, authors must:
- Properly cite all referenced works.
- Acknowledge contributions from other researchers.
- Submit only original and unpublished manuscripts.
- Use plagiarism detection tools before submission to verify content originality.
Authors are encouraged to follow ethical publishing practices as outlined by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) to avoid any ethical violations.
Commitment to Ethical Publishing
IJPRA is committed to maintaining transparency and research integrity. By implementing a strict plagiarism policy, we ensure that only high-quality and original research contributes to the advancement of physics.
